will GEBE mount accept Monster Scooter engine?

bought a BMP kit to try out motored biking. im hooked. not in love with the looks and i know friction drive is not ideal for me as id like to run knobby tires and in dirt/ mud.

GEBE looks decent for the money... i see they have a lot of the same engines that BMP suggests except the Monster Scooter engine. being that they didnt suggest 2 different kits at BMP for the Monster Scooter engine, or for example, the Tanaka, i assume the mounting pattern is the same? id like to keep my engine and just get the kit. i like my throttle and gas tank and am happy enough with the engine to keep it till i can afford more.

if not, how difficult would it be to tap new holes into the GEBE engine mount?

hi chuck. the golden eagle clutch uses the standard 4-bolt pattern, and i know the chinese 49cc will work, as i ran one for a while. if you mount the engine with the tank rearward it should be fine. note: a very small amount of filing on the flywheel/clutch cover will be required to clear the GEBE mount.
