Will this build work?

Hello everyone,

I am new here and I am interested in building a motorized bike. I currently have a Giant Escape 2 the size is small. I am buying a motor bike kit on ebay. Here is a link to the kit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321245489833.

Questions are:

Will the motor fit on my bike?

Will it work with the gear shifters?

It should work. But if your bike has the water bottle bolts. Your going to need to grind them off. And the gears would not make a difference with the motor on. Unless you buy a shift kit. That seems pretty technical to me. But in a rookie at these things too. I've done two going on three builds. I'm going to try doing a speed bike with a shift kit. But this one is going to take some time.
