Switchblade build or fools errand?

Thanks for asking, I suppose I do have an update. Not a lot but something. I basically finished my gas tank. I bought a rack to mount it- I’m not sure if I’m going to use it or make something else. It’s probably fine.
I reassembled the bike- routed the chain on the pedal side to try out the ridiculous wide pedals and found that my bracket was much to weak to handle the force. So I will need to rethink that. I wanted to get the bike back to pedal operation before mounting the power side.
i will be needing a center stand. I want to be able to park with the rear wheel elevated so I can pedal start the engine. An thoughts on that?

The tank looks awesome good job (y)
There are center stands but I think they hang too low for your Switchblade frame
Pic of a Whizzer center stand. Not sure if ya could modify it to work

Ya might want to look at the Vintage Whizzer Rear Stand. But it clips on to the rear fender to keep it up.
Once again, not sure how ya can modify it to stay in the up position without a rear fender.

Thanks guy- the positive feedback helps with motivation.
chainlube- I don’t think I could do the Lift and kick, this thing weighs a ton, and I skinny little girl arms. And, like a dumb ass, I hacked off the kick stand because I was “completely certain“ I would not need it.
i have been looking at stands like on the whizzer - some of them hang so low in the “up” position I think it would be sparking the entire ride. I think I will end up modifying something or just fabricating something.

I feel like I ‘owe’ everyone an update. And who knows, maybe a new viewer will give some input. So I had this bitchin’ 22mm mikuni carb that was going to be awesome. Nope. Try as I might it wouldn’t go. If I Almost completely Choked off the carb it would run for 10 seconds then die- I will offer mor on that if anyone is intereste. So I go back to the stock style Carb- runs just fine. (Might have a carb for sale) Now I need throttle linkage , ideas?
and I beefed up my under sprocket set up- actually rode it around the block- awkward as heck with wide peddles. So as most like pics- here you go.
and the exhaust is not staying like that- that’s a quick fix for noise

While your fabbing something for the stand you could fab some kinda clamp on pegs for the down tube. Don't know how it sits but might be more comfy than the pedals while riding. I'm guessing you tried jetting larger on the mik.. What a fine looking ride. Love it.

This is what you need to get that carb running smoothly. https://www.ombwarehouse.com/jet-kit-mikuni-22mm-small-body-round-slide-on-gx200-6-5.html

If you still have the old governor mechanism, you can run a throttle cable to pull on the linkage rod to the carb and keep a spring at the connection. YouTube has some tutorials. Could be it works, never tried it.

I have not swapped the jet- I believe it’s a “95” in there now. Didn’t want to spend $10 And not be right, then another 10 over and over. And the plug looked dark and wet so I’m second guessing the over lean idea. I actually have 3 of these engines- maybe I’ll try something on a spare and see how it goes.
You guys are telling me it could really not run at all with an over lean situation and by going from a 95 to a 130 could/should fix it? Oh- and I feel confident that it wasn’t a vacuum leak

*edit- I’m such a dope. See pic for what I actually bought. Same questions apply
