Switchblade build or fools errand?

Here is the evolution of a bracket- first I considered the 1/8 WAY to thick- then to a piece of metal shelf- still way to thick- then I hacked up the guts of an organ (which has need a regular ‘giving tree’ around here)
Hack hack, bend, grind, pound. It’s not quite finished but I’m done for today.

And here it is in all it’s glory. I’m feeling pretty good about it- it feels strong and looks good. And with the adjustment slots I can make a full link adjustment. This way I can get the driven side tight and then the pedal side can be adjusted to fit perfectly!
As always I appreciate any feedback.

Sorry for the long delay- some slow progress has been happening though. I mostly have the drive side sorted. The chain to to thback sprocket was hitting the frame, bummer. So I flipped the jackshaft hanger around and put a nylon ‘roller’ in path. Hopefully that will do the trick. Anyway- here are a couple pics. Questions?
Also after messing with the stock carb for way to long, I decided to treat myself to a 22mm mikuni.

Hiya Doc! ✌

Watch the slap on the lower chain run and the lower arm there.

You have enough slack in that chain in the pics for you to utilize the tensioner that secures on the lower and the upper arms.

Alot safer.

Here is a better view- I have cut down the plate but might need more. Also notice the stunt sprocket. I think I will weld a tab in there, mount the idler sprocket and ditch the bushing/bolt.
And finally the full view- I am questioning gas tank design- ideas? I will ask in the general thread as well if that’s okay.

Hey guys- I’m still here if you wondered. I got sidetracked on gas tank ideas- and still don’t know how I’m going to mount it. https://motoredbikes.com/threads/gas-tank-design-and-build.56425/ So to keep myself from 5150ing myself- I tackled a small task I could complete. Had to make a new front brake cable. It was good to have a look at the frame again- therapeutic.
