Clutch lever brake switch?

Hey folks!! I've been doing sum reading about putting together a 12v lighting system. I read that I could put a "micro switch" some where inside the clutch lever so that if the clutch is pulled it makes the tail light brighter. Also how do I wire a tail light so the it gets brighter when the clutch is pulled. This is all abit confusing but I'm sure with alil good direction I can work it out. thanks in advance!!

Thread the clutch cable through a cable clamp, then use that to to engage a limit switch.
