Difficulty opening the Huaseng 49cc engine

Hello, new member here.

I have a question about how to open and separate the engine block on the Huaseng 49cc, as I am struggling to separate it.
I need to open it as I need to replace the pistons. However, even with numerous prying, it was impossible to separate it.

Do you have any ideas/advices on how to remove it??
We would really like this to work, so any advices would be nice.

Hello, and welcome.

I would suggest removing the flywheel/fan assembly as it may be preventing separation or hiding a bolt or two that you cannot see still holding the two case halves together.

You can also take a look through this older thread that has a lot of pictures on the disassembly of that engine. It may provide the answers you need.

The next big question is do you have the correct tools and parts to do such a task? You not only have to disassemble it, you also have to put it back together.

Have you checked the cylinder wall for damage?
