I found the same results on all three of my bikes, the clone pipes work pretty good. The pipes I have are from different suppliers, all three improved low end torque. My Townie does 32 flat out with a 48cc, the pipe only added one to two mph to top end but did help overall performance.
From 28 to 32mph top speed.
