Huffy Davidson CDI Coil

I bought the HD cdi for around $58.00 from BikeBerry 2 weeks ago. It never started quickly from the beginning of use. Three days ago the motor would not start. First I checked the spark. There was some spark so I figured the cdi was good. I cleaned the carb. Still did not work, Put on a new carb. Still no start. I cleaned the magneto connections and the coil connections again. Nothing. By now I am pissed. So I put on a new $8.00 regular cdi that comes with the kit. Started right up with only 3 pedals. With the HD cdi I had to pedal hard and long to get it going when it was working. Maybe the HD cdi I bought was defective. Or, maybe there really is no difference between the $58.00 HD cdi and the stock $8.00 cdi. This one is going back to BikeBerry.

Anybody had better luck and actually noticed a difference between the two cdis?
