Threaded crankcase - what are my options?

I threaded one of the crankcase holes, the threaded rod no longer holds on to anything as the crankcase hole is now threaded (I could see bits of aluminum on the end of the threaded rod). I also replaced some of the nuts with steel nuts (see image, they're metric 1.25cm) as they were threaded as well.

What are my options? Id really hate to have to buy a new crank case.

I helicoiled my cases for the Minarelli build. Used 5/16 coarse instead of metric so as to use threaded rod for the cylinder studs.
Cheap and plentiful. Its a snap to do. Once you have a kit the coils aren't as expensive. Definitely follow ImpulseRockets advice on depth marking, not much room for error there!
