My Favorite by far is called Ulysse Speedometer
Quick tip to get rid of ads in almost any app:
Get a old Android with no sim card and turn off WiFi = No ads -- or just put your phone in Airplane mode and just enable Location (GPS) no internet no ads. Put the phone in airplane mode or disconnect WiFi and data before you start the app.
Can you insert a SD card they are cheap $5~$10, It sounds like a old phone so you are limited to size of the card you can use you maybe able to add a gig or two you will need to search Google for the manufacturer model of the phone to get the spec's
EG:
"Samsung s8 specs"
Another indispensable app for me is called Osmond — Offline Maps, Travel & Navigation (no ads even in the free version)
It has gotten me home home home times than I would like to admit (there is a way to get the paid version legally for free with their monthly give away, Ask me and I will look for the proper links) Unfortunately without a about a gig of free space you will not be able to download the offline maps.

20,000 mhA USB battery pack attached to frame so it lasts at least 30~40 hours of use
Hope this helps
I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks ad free this one splits the screen to shove ads at me while driving

Also had to eliminate so many more apps to get space for it.

OsmAnd — Maps & GPS Offline - Apps on Google Play
Navigation on hikes is no longer a problem. Download the map, put notes and go!
