This is my fourth bike, second custom. Built my first bike back in 2009, came a long way since then. As far as electronics goes, almost everything I know I learned from Google and YouTube. I had lights and a charging system on my last bike, but not high/low and all that. My tail light and brake light were separate. I just finished up all the wiring and mounting the generator today. The wiring was actually not that hard, I just kept putting it off out of laziness. Most any time I want to do something new with my bike, I Google the sh-- out of it till I find the information I need. Occasionally ask questions if I can't find something, but most of the time I just search and search. As far as I know, no one has a lighting/charging system quite like mine. Maybe some similar, but none quite exactly the same. Very few people I see using LEDs. I like LEDs because they are brighter and use much less energy.
