A motorized bicycle is classed as a moped in Washington. The definition of a moped is a vehicle which:
- Possess 2 to 3 wheels.
- Has an engine that is 50ccs or smaller.
- Has a maximum speed no higher than 30mph on level ground.
You must be at least 16 years old with a drivers license to ride a motorized bicycle in Virginia.
A motorized bicycle must be registered and titled to ride it on public roads in Washington.
