Aftermath of too small snap rings

Got a late start to the riding season because of a work injury and dealing with airleak issues. Redid all the gaskets and changed out the wrist pin clips to 10mm snap rings. Turns out they were a little too loose lol. Guess I'll be stepping up to 11s now.

Already got new parts on the way, thinking I might be able to save the head though. I'm tempted to just knock down the sharp edges, throw a set of rings on it and see if it'll still run. Good cylinder to cut my teeth on porting, since it's already a doorstop haha.

I had gotten some 10mm snap rings and wasn’t comfortable with the fit. Wasted $8.

Looks like you forgot to put the oil in the gas overheated and seized. Maybe...I rode it very hard that day, first half of ride was fields, second on streets. Maybe got an intake leak? Damn mickey mouse extension. That's getting fixed too, anyway, got a new intake its also on that...

The metal the Chinese clips are made of is soft. Care must be taken not to over compress the rings on install or they fit loose.
