Hello all, when riding my bike today and nearing full throttle I let off the throttle and then pulled in my clutch, and it kept revving at high rpm’s and tried to go even higher. So I stalled the bike because my kill switch wasn’t responding and it stopped. It only happened at high rpm’s and I was wondering if I should suspect an air leak? I have a slight leak from my head gasket and have a new one on the way.

There is likely a leak elsewhere. Slray.all the hasket surfaces with carb clean while it is running. If it changes idle in amy way you have found your air leak.

I had this when I just built my bike.

Does your carb have a black O-ring in it? if you don't add one, if you do, loosen the carb press very firmly into the intake manifold and while you are pressing, tighten it back down with the other hand.

Check tightness of the intake manifold bolts

You may need to move the needle clip one spot closer to the needle tip.

This fixed mine.

However! if you have a head leak, stop running it and fix that first.
