Just picked up this BOB Ibex suspension trailer off of CL for $80. Might be planning a trip in the near future with my GEBE Townie.

That is an exceptionally good price for the B.O.B. Ibex! :D
I would love one of those but I just got the cheap "folding" trailer instead. :( I'm hoping I can improve it in the future and make it a bit more like the Ibex.
Inverted, it makes a nice table for when you're camping or just fishing on the beach. :)

That is a great deal on a very nice trailer!

Julia at GEBE told me that many of their users have BOB trailers, but I had problems mounting mine (I have the standard BOB trailer, not the IBEX, so perhaps you'll have better results). I'd bought the heavy-duty rear wheel from GEBE, which uses a solid axle. That meant I had to use the "Bob Nutz" to create attachment points for the the trailer, but the points were too far apart for the trailer hitch to fit. I was short on time and didn't want to fuss with it so I just went with a front rack. That worked fine, but it would have been nice to use the trailer. I hope your's works for you; it's a great trailer!

I enjoyed your "Gebe" build thread. Looks like you've put a lot of thought into doing it right! Well done!

I used the Bob Nutz on mine too. GEBE uses a 10mm x 1.0 threaded rear axle on there 105G Velocity rim for those wanting to connect a BOB trailer using Bob Nutz. Phantom, my trailer was too tight to mount too, so I just spreaded the trailer stays with my hands and it fits fine. I also bought a Pletscher double legged kickstand, which makes it nice so I don't have to lean the bike on something to mount the trailer.

I have the Aosom folding one. It took a bunch of work to fix it's problems: loose pivots for the spring suspension, the bearings in the 16" wheel are badly set up and the spokes need to be tensioned and the wheel trued. I made my own separate hitch mounts with 3/16" dural pieces used to extend a pair of high strength 8mm bolts out from the rack and fender tabs on the dropouts. This way I can change tires/fix or patch the tube if the rearwheel gets a flat.

After pulling my Mule suspended trailer for a few thousand miles I got the chance to pull a BOB.... and I hated it! The turning radius is about 3 X what mine is now with the trailer hitched to the seat post. The Mule isn't perfect and has it's own "issues" but after some mods it's close to "perfect"... for me.
