CDI wire spilcing?

So the wire from the CDI...can I cut this and splice a new boot onto it and make the wire longer?

if you mean the plug wire, it unscrews counter-clockwise from cdi
same as boot from wire
search the forum for cdi or spark plug wire and you will find a wealth of knowlege
