I replaced Gear Drive Pinion and 4* Engine Woodruff Key Half Moon and has run fine since (well a little rattily) - thanks all for help and advice

Rattily is almost a force of nature in these things. Maybe poke about and sort out what the sound is, if anything, my friend didn't have a spring under his clutch plate, it made a rattle sound when the clutch was squeezed, otherwise ran fine untill he blew probably every bearing in the joint at the very same time. Use oil folks, it's a requirement.
