Good v brakes?

I've got some tektro v brakes that are loooooooong with blackburn pads(quite wide) and these brakes are serious. Stop me on a dime.

Lever length of 100mm or a little under 4 inches

I think Vbrakes are the best rim brakes out there. Easy to adjust and they stop you fo shoo. Cloaked, looks like your rear Vbrake is out of adjustment. They work best when both pads are centered from the rim about a 1/4in.

Yeah, I just put them on. The previous ones were adjusted correctly.
