Harbor Freight Carb flooding engine after turning off engine.

Thanks,

It runs like a champ now. Turns out it was several variables that was leading to it acting like a red headed stepchild.

The carb is fine, do not need a new one.

1st variable. Lowered the gas tank below the carb. (gravity feed flood problem)
2nd. variable. Tuned/cleaned the carb. and lubricated throttle arm and throttle cable.
3rd. variable. Shortened and custom made a new throttle cable (cable came off of a china 68.5/80cc kit and was too long and getting hung up in housing).

Many thanks, I do not know much about engines/carbs.

Your help was much appreciated.

Thanks for your help with my engine, but...............................................

Right now my bike looks like something that came from Sanford & Son because I have the gas tank mounted around the wheel axle to keep the gas below the carb to keep it from flooding.

Check out these rides. They look to have the same engine as I do, but have their gas tanks mounted above the engine and they do not appear to have flooding problems. I do not know..............Do they have different carbs? Why do their engines not flood like mine does from having the tanks above the carb?

If anyone has any ideas, on what I could do to stop the flooding with having my gas tank above my engine I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
