Just watched a You Tube video discussing the "new" electric Harley Livewire. First quarter of 2023 sales was a staggering 63 bikes.
2022 was 72 units in first quarter. Less than 1 a day.
I think this was a true figure:

As the guy on YouTube said, how do you ride this thing to Sturgis unless you strap a gas generator on the back rack. Thought that was interesting looking at the number of electric bicycles that are apparently selling everywhere.

YEP...HD telling some 350 pound gorilla riding his Harley Hog with his GF on the back of it, that he should now be riding something that doesn't go Blat, blat, blat down the road, but sounds more like a silent but deadly fart...lol.

Your never gonna convert a diehard Harley fan to go electric and he has to stop for any length of time because it ran out of electrical charge...lol.

I am not surprised at all with the very low sales numbers.

At least the operating loss was only $21,000,000 for the quarter.

Go figure...Electric everything, the new green deal, NYC trying to outlaw gas appliances and just this week announced that they now want to outlaw natural gas itself...California outlawing 2 stroke motors used in just about everything in a few years and just today CARB announcing they want an end to diesel tractor trailer trucks by around 2034 extending to 2039 for all truckers to follow, all in favour of electric everything they haven't even built the power grids anywhere in the country to handle, a real joke for California which in peak summer time hot weather still has to endure rolling blackout power outages...lol.

They all want to climb aboard the "Woke" bandwagon...Go Woke, Go Broke...lol...Harley is well on its way losing 21 mil in just its first quarter...lol...But heck, they have gone broke before, thats when AMF bought them...lol.

AMF's "expertise" in manufacturing bowling equipment, Roadmaster bicycles, Head snow skis and tennis racquets, and Ben Hogan golf clubs didn’t translate into motorcycles. Unstable management, production streamlining and labor problems – layoffs and strikes – resulted in the lowest possible quality bikes that nearly destroyed Harley-Davidson...lol...Looks like they are shooting themselves in the foot once again.

Harley Davidson's current President/CEO: Jochen Zeizt of Germany.

In 2008 Zeitz founded the not-for-profit Zeitz Foundation for Intercultural Ecosphere Safety to support creative and innovative sustainable projects and solutions that balance conservation, community development, culture, and commerce (the "4Cs") in a quadruple bottom line approach, promoting an inclusive, holistic paradigm of conservation that enhances livelihoods and fosters intercultural dialogue while building sustainable businesses. Owner of Segera (an eco-safari retreat and founding Long Run Destination), Zeitz also preserves 50,000 acres of wildlife habitat in Kenya which follows this holistic 4C philosophy to sustainably support its local communities and provide a safe refuge for endangered wildlife.

They could have saved alot of print by just saying, Woke, leftwingnut, socialism...lol...lol.

Hopefully they can just save the endangered wildlife in exchange for the demise of the Woke crowd...lol...I always did like animals better than some people...lol.

Think how many polar bears were saved with those 63 green bikes they put on the road. Blackrock will prop up their shares when they crash.

I honestly wouldn't mind having an electric motorcycle, especially for commuting to work. The issue isn't the bike itself, it's the price of these electric motorcycles that is turning people away. Even $10,000 is too much for the purpose I just outlined. A Yamaha MT03 can be had out the door for about $6,000. A Zero S, which is the closest equivalent to an MT03 in Electric motorcycles, is over $12,000 delivered. The $6000 difference in price alone pays for 84,000 miles of fuel for the MT03 at $4 a gal.
