I strongly suspect that the unidentified part is from the "hydrosolator".

i may be rude but i got the required information posted, and now you have answers....thats a mystery part that doesnt belong
best bet is it was wedged in a port and youre lucky it didnt fall into the crank and make a stinking mess.
