Hi Guys,

Been pretty busy modifying my bike with Mags, disk brakes etc.

My buddy is making an adapter at the base for me out of some more military aircraft specs aluminum because what is ordered online just does not line up and fit anything properly, We both agreed that the adapter just would not do, so we are making it ourselves after drawing up some templet plans this evening.

Now to my question...As we are looking at this once we put it back together again, we both came to the conclusion that we can fit the drive side chain perfectly without a chain tensioner...Is there any earthly reason anyone can think of whatsoever that says it has to have one???...thanx in advance...DAMIEN

There is no real reason to have one. The proper chain alignment and tightness is all you need. I use a spring one because it gives a little when it needs to. The advantage without a tensioner is one less thing to worry about breaking while riding at high speeds.
