Multi Speed Chain Drive

I know the chain ring on the left side is very possible i have done it myself. but i did need to have a freewheel on that side. Currie already had one on the hub and electric motor attached to the rear wheel. The only problem is when the chain stretches is adjustment. haven't figured out how get get it tight again without removing a link.

Same way it works on the right side, spring loaded idler.
