Riding Rich Ported Cylinders

Well it seems as if things aren't gonna work out with Pirate.

I'm pondering the thought of porting Jugs for the general public.

$50.00 you supply the JUG.

$75.00 Portjob and Jug.

This would include shipping.

I spent alot of time on this project and i hate to see it all go to waste.
I can start with that and hopefully grow from there.

I would very much enjoy manufacturing a Billet Engine.
All i need is a CNC.

I have 12 years experience as a Machinist.

It seems the HT engines and parts are drying up.

There is no way im gonna quit....I'll find a way.

Peace
Riding Rich

I'm interested in a ported cylinder.

We'll need to work out shipping costs to Australia if i do a group purchase on your cylinder, X-can exhaust and reed valve intake system.

Fabian

Just to clarify.

I havent developed any X-Can Exhaust system as of yet.
I do know a few tricks to quiet down an expansion chamber.
And the reed valve is a part of the cylinder...not seperate.

O'll post it in a few.

Hi Rich

When you have an X-can exhaust system (that's designed to work with your ported cylinder and is also very quiet) and looks similar to a standard chrome exhaust pipe, send it to me along with one of your ported cylinders with incorporated reed valve intake.

Let me know the parts cost and the shipping cost for all the items.

Fabian

Mr Gh0st,

Do i have to explain everything by taking your hand and listing my reasons in baby steps, so it's compatible with your comprehension skills.

Using an analogy to your faulty logic, it could be said: why don't you just buy one wheel nut to hold the wheel on (because it's available) and then buy the other wheel nuts as they are manufactured.
As Rich has described, his ported cylinder is designed to work with a tuned pipe and his reed valve intake as an integrated system.

If i used your logic, i would end up paying shipping charges twice or possibly three times over - that's stupidity, using the Gh0st method.
Does it not seem logical to wait until all items are available for purchase and then pay for one shipping consignment.

Gh0st, your comments are lacking relevance and if you keep going, your comments will become nothing more than irrelevant psycho babble.

Whoa there buddy, take a ritalin and chill.
Just sayin' that he's got product and needs buyers to support his future projects. You've been champing at the bit for these high performance parts, and now he has his first item available. Time to pony up the cash!

big bore cylinder

Fabian if you want lots of torque at low RPMs you need a stroker crank! A big bore cylinder will just make the engine more higher reving(which will blow up due to the poor quality of all the material that they are made) So get a 48cc and stroke it! It will be hard because you will need all new port timing, even the inlet durations maters if you want a low rpm high torque engine which many people dont know about and trim the piston skirt which makes the engine poor in the botton end due to blow back but exelent at high speed,1mm will make a masive diference in an engine! I have read most of the two stroke books out there and i have all the importante stuff written down in a book that is always with me:rolleyes:,
If you need any info just ask because i have spend weeks and weeks just reading about 2 strokes and to be fair they look and perform very simple but there is quite alot of maths behind it Rich must know all that, he is a smart guy with lots of good things still to come! Good luck Rich with all your stuff!
I would buy a ported cylinder BUT over here in England the police would just take it off me in the first day that i tried to ride it:cry:

How would they know your cylinder is ported?

On a second note about the porting you are very correct.
There is alot of math involved.

It comes down to Time/Area/Angle.

and a whole lot of math to get there.
Anyway i wrote an Excell Spreadsheet to do all the math.
Except u need a cad package to get accurate Mean Areas

I have done my port timing and calculations several different ways.

#1 use degree wheel and portmap to figure timing.

#2 use Excell Spreadsheet to perform all the calculations.

#3 use cad system to accuratly draw the port timing

#4 I make Wax Castings of all the ports i cut to Verify My port Areas.

HERE ARE MY PICS.

A) Cylinder with reed valve welded to it.

Engine Design Calculator

I WILL POST MY ENGINE DESIGN CALCULATOR.

Just remember the output is only as good as the input.

If you understand the numbers this will help you.

If you know how to use excell this is easy.

Even some pipe design calculations in there.

Rename the .doc to .xls and open in Microsoft Excell.

Later
Riding Rich.

Buy some jugs there good.

I dont even have a bike anymore to put the cylinder on:cry:
the police just takes it off me if i try to ride it on the streets, they are really tight here where i live and they have cameras everywhere, you cant even go to the toilet in peace, they are always there looking at you thinking that you are dealing drugs:mad:
Nice looking reed block in the cylinder that you have there
Lets see it running now and Good luck with your sales, there is alot of people out there that dont know that you have such a nice looking reed valve cylinder, put a video on youtube of it explaining everything and you will see your sales going up like mad :D
