Should engines die out when stopping / going really slow?

Title. When your riding and come to a very slow speed or stop the engine quits out, so you got to keep moving forward or the engine dies out. Is this normal for motorized bike engines, or is there an adjustment to keep the engine idling when the bikes not moving, maybe making the carb needle more rich?

When you get the whole thing tuned right, you should be able to pick up the rear wheel, (lift seat or rack) and push down on the pedal and it will start.
Mine still doesn't unless the plug is fresh. Usually have to choke for a few feet on it's first start of the day.

Generally this would be down to carb adjustments. Specifically the idle/low speed mixture adjustment if the carburetor has it combined with the right idle rpm. If you are too rich or too lean on the idle mixture it creates fluctuations in fueling and the power pulses are weaker from "soft" ignition. The issue is that most of the Bofeng and NT carbs with a single jet do not have the ability to really fine tune this part of the fueling without affecting the mid throttle fueling as well. Assuming your carburetor tuning is good then the only thing you can really do is play with the idle speed adjustment and try to bump it up just enough to help keep it running.
