I recently was given a few parts by @Heavyload and in the lot of parts was the bbr aluminum sprocket. He said it would need some work in order to work with the chain. I look3d at it and tried wrapping the chain around it, but it looked like this...

I continued to look at it for a while, and I thought the sprocket looked like it might work with a different chain, so I went and grabbed some of my leftover 40 chain and got this...

I'll pick up some 41 and test it in the near future since 41 is much thinner.

Moral of the story, if you want to use one of these, ditch the stock chain.

Moral of the story, those aluminum teeth will form hooks after only a few rids. The next result will be chain suck. This is why when under engine torque use steel sprockets.
This is just for people who ask "why isn't this working?" I'm likely going to mount it on the wall or something.

In theory a 40, 41, 420, 415, and 410 should all work, did you try another 415 chain? I had poorly made chains before, wouldn't run all the way around a sprocket.
