Just curious to know everyone's opinion is. Which would be better to use, OZ reed valve, dio or G2? If you was getting a new engine what would you all use?

I would use an OZ because it's smaller. The phantom 85 used an oz with carbon fiber reeds.

The OZ reeds is among the best for our motorbike applications. You will make good power with the OZ reed kit.
Plus you can tune your engine some thru different reed thicknesses & materials.

The OZ reed is more than adequate for 80%+ of all MB engine builds. The bigger reeds like the G2 need a stuffer to work well, which basically fills in a lot of the reed block volume and helps reduce turbulence.

Ok thanks for the input.. gonna purchase the avenger 85 soon!!!
Avenger doesn't need a reed. Hell, even the Phantom 85 doesn't really need a reed, and actually makes more power without one and a non-windowed piston. Are you planning to go crazy with porting etc?
