Has anyone here ever made a stand that holds the rear wheel off the ground? Like a stand similar to the old pedal start Harley's?
Was thinking about fabricating one for the purpose of starting my bike while it's stationary in the garage. Wondering if it would even be effective though.

Nice. I did some searching and found people using Whizzer drop stands. But I also found a photo more along the lines of what I wanted to make.

According to the website the one he uploaded a photo of is $600. But there are some on Amazon in the $50-100 range.

Also, regarding your other question, I'm not sure he's riding around with it attached to the bike.

Started making one today but didn't have enough angle to finish. Not welded out yet just dry fit it to get an idea of what it will look like. Gotta make some type of cradle for the top and a cross brace.

Something tells me he wants one that isn't attached to the bike as a kickstand. He wants something the rear axle stubs rest on or something just for use tinkering in the garage with the rear wheel off the ground that is solid that'll let the rear wheel spin like a double kickstand.
