Dont know

Naw never heard of him. Was he a American spy? Did he wear a orange trench coat? Was he working under cover over there to save the Hungarian nation and all of their neighbors Scandinavia to Africa from being ruled by Nazis? Once in a while we cause one, but usually we just end them for everyone else.
Agent Orange.... Isn't that the Vietnamese guy that didn't like vegetables?

Serious guys. Go find or make your own thread.
None of you have answered my question. Ive rode my bike 30+ miles with no screw traveling well above 25mph... What exactly is that screws purpose? Whats it called? The one that screws into the bevel gear.
It hols the bevel gear on the shaft horizontally. There is a woodruff key on the shaft that holds the gear on with the shafts rotation. Right now a woodruff key and pressure are the only things keeping the bevel gear on. You are basically approaching it like a drunk college kid that keeps putting his hand in an alligators mouth saying, "look, everyone, he likes me. He hasn't eaten my hand yet. "

That bevel gear will fly out and when it does it may be catastrophic to your engine and possibly you. I'd take the safe road. I have a bike grounded right now due to bevel gear issues.

My grand daughter could have figured out what it is for and found out where to find it. She's 9. Crank's Small Gear Bolt | Bicycle Motor Works
Well thank you. She probably spends more time on the whatever kids do today except play outside right? LoL
Thank you. Can't find that cranks small gear bolt anywhere on Amazon or eBay?
Weird. I'm Very mechanical in electrical service and maintenance... Still have issues figuring out combustion engines amd their mechanics. LoL

It almost looks like the bolt is broken off in the crank. It's hard to tell in the pic, if it's broken off you'll need to get the broken part out first. It will eventually come off if you keep riding it. When using the puller to remove it, first thing is to clean the threads and get all the old loctite and crap out of the threads so that the puller threads into the bevel gear all the way. Heating the bevel gear with a propane torch also helps loosen up any loctite that maybe holding it on. Once you get it off you may find that the key way is now bent or twisted and the crankshaft damaged under the bevel gear. With 5400 miles your money might be better spent on a whole new engine. You can only polish a turd so many times before you should just give it a flush.
If you look in the first two pics I posted on this thread. I dont see the screw being broken off. Pretty sure thats how the cover has a hole in it. Thats where it exited. Also. Anyone know when or how often clutch pads need replacing?

Or you could just get m8x15mm crank arm bolts.

Just put another 20+ miles on it so. Idk why its still running like a champ except when I slow down chain has stretched some lol anyways ordered a new gear puller, clutch cover and that small gear screw that holds bevel gear... Is it possible that it welded itself to pin that has notch in it for bevel gear over a course of 5k miles? Cuz it hasn't moved or looks any different.. When I noticed problem 60+ miles ago I sprayed a bunch white lightening lube in it... Around bevel gear.
Anyways parts en route... Picked up some machined screws appropriately sized maybe that'll fit. LoL
