Looking for tips on extending the wire length from my motor. I'm installing a custom mini bike seat on my ride and am going to attach the cdi under the seat. I'll need to extend the length of wire from the engine by about a foot. I may also need to extend my kill switch wires by a few inches. I don't want any zip ties, duct tape or electrical tape on my bike. I want to do the job properly. Any advice on doing a nice professional job will be appreciated. Links to necessary purchases are also greatly appreciated.

I'd like to know the answer to this too. But to point you in the right direction. It'll probably be called something like an "inline splice connector" or "butt splice connector."

Maybe this will work

To do a bang up job, you have to solder and heat shrink just as HP says. No matter what you put on there you have to tie it up with something. Get zip ties the same color as your bike, no one will notice them.

If you have solder and spare wire, you can go pro and desolder the old wire and solder in the new from end to end and avoid connectors/splicing with heat shrink. While you have your cdi open to put the new wire in, surround the inside of the case in hot glue and pack the rest with vasoline to make it water proof.
