56 Simplex

Found this little motorbike, searching the web lastnite. It's a 1956 Simplex, the seller is calling it a 1956 Simplex auto-bike. I think it's a Simplex Service-cycle. This thing is just way too cool, it turns over & has random spark. Seller wants $2750 firm, I think the seller is about $2000 light on his price tag. If I had money to throw around, this would be in my garage.

Lmao if I had the money, i would drive the distance, you dont see these come up for sale very often. It's in Oklahoma. I still think its priced way cheap!!! Its just cool.

It is pretty awesome. Maybe one day you'll find one when you have the money.

Probably make it road worthy. It tells it's story the way it is. Every scratch and ding is a part of it's history.

I would do just what it takes to get it running & ride worthy. I would leave the paint alone, if it's original. That might be why the price is as low as it is, it might be a repainted bike & that would kill the collector value. I think it would anyhow.

After looking at pictures online, I don't think that's the original engine. the original engine was more vertical with the piston. So I changed my mind, if I couldn't find an original engine, I'd probably put a Phantom engine in it, and make it a nice hotrod bike.
