It wasnt too bad to ride or handle once you had ridden it a bit. I had a gravel drive at the time, that added to a few tense moments. You never wanted to pour the throttle to it unless the steering was straight. Easily spun the front wheel on loose surfaces. It was actually well balanced with the rider in place. Required the drop stand to keep it up right parked.
Once underway it was quick on acceleration. The auto clutch made it easy to ride. It ran the biggest roller I could
fit. I dont remember exactly, something approaching 3” to match the clutches pulley for 1:1 drive ratio. I was un governed. The 2.5hp Lifan would turn close 5k. Had quite a top end, I never clocked it but it was similar to the Lifan Schwinn which topped over 40.
This build could easily be duplicated using the way lighter 49cc HS 4stroke. Would be plenty fun, and not so much
of a beast.
