Buying brakes by bulk?

Hey I'm NOT looking to go disc brakes I was debating buying a Walmart 17 PC brake pad set.

Anyone know any good brake pad makers?
My current set will be due soon as their the cheap block style gummy grey pads.

Well I'll buy a set then see how long it last the bikes ready to fire.

I agree with Furry on those Kool Stop pads....great high quality pads...more expensive but way better than any stock or even worse, Walmart pads.

Well I'll consider comparing to box store what's the longevity of those pads looking to replace per month or two.
