Can you power lights off the coil/magneto?

Can i patch into the kill switch or magneto or coil on my goped to run a light system and not have to worry about recharging my a 12v battery?>

Has anyone done this mod? Can it be done?

This is not engine specific. Anyone do this on any engine with a coil I want to hear from.

Spoon feed: you can, but it is not advisable. especially with these smaller engines. Your just taking power from the coil and feeding it to the lights. with a normal set up, you might not even get your bike to start if the light is on. however, once the bike has been running for a few mins, it should be ok

Just don't do it........If you want to keep any performance, use batteries for lights...............
