has anyone came up with chain guide to keep the top half of the chain from hitting the tire while you ride?

The common cure is to install a skinnier tire, or add a washer or 2 on the axle in between the frame and hub to shift the wheel over a little bit. The washer trick might throw off the chain alignment, so keep an eye out for it.

that is what i did and is working a treat. only 20 bucks at Big W and has white wall tyres.
