Looking for advice on exhaust tape. My pipe is pretty close to my sticker and I'm thinking about wrapping it with exhaust tape to protect the sticker from melting. Using exhaust tape on a motorcycle is supposed to improve performance by increasing exhaust fume flow. Is it a good idea for two stroke motorized bikes?

Depends, it makes the pipe hotter, so gives ya tiny tiny bit more up top( I think like 200 rpm or so if done right), Looks cool too. Down side is the pipe rusts faster. The colors of the wrap will fade, Black turns to grey. I use it on some bikes, and on others I don't. All depends on how I want it to look.

I did a wrap on my pipe using 1" wide glass wrap, finished with high-temp silicone spray. I left about 3 inches of pipe exposed at the flange for cooling. Does it do any good? I don't know, I was curious and wanted to try. If you think it looks cool, do it ;-)
