friction drive rear tire

Does anyone have a suggestion for a rear tire for my Schwinn cruiser 5 with a Staton Honda friction drive kit?

Maxxis Hookworm... they retail for 35 dollars but they are made of vulcanized rubber instead of butyl and cotton.

I tried Armadillo's, but the bike ate 'em. I have City Slicker's on there now, and they seem to be holding up well.
