Gas/oil ratio for 80cc 2 stroke engine?

I apologize for not being good at math but could someone please explain how to calculate the gas/oil ratio for 1 gallon of gas for an 80cc 2 stroke engine.

128 oz of gas in one gallon.

50:1 ratio means 50 parts of fuel to 1 part of oil.
so 128 oz of fuel would have 128/50 parts of oil = 2.56 oz

40:1 ratio means 40 parts of fuel to 1 part of oil
128 oz of fuel would have 128/40 oz of oil = 3.1 oz oil

etc.. etc..
