My name is Gabriel and I live in Grand Rapids. I decided to build a motorized bike to learn about how engines work and to have a cheap get-around-towner. I've loved the experience so far and would love to keep building and experimenting with these little things. My bike is an 80cc 2 stroke from BBR Tuning and is attached to a Schwinn Wayfarer. His name is Brutus.

Safety - Beware the fenders!!!

I know it's been said on here many times, myself included, but I think it should be said again. I was told about the fenders breaking off and rolling around the tire and wrecking you, so I took them off and put stronger "L" brackets from the hardware store on to stop that from happening. Or so...

Thanks for the link and the concern. I thought of the same thing after my first lengthy ride on Brutus and so I used some L brackets and bought new bolts to hold it down, and added some threadlocker for good measure. I love the look of the fender and it seems really bland without it to me lol
