Tap the 6mm bolt holes out to 1/4 20
1/4" is slightly bigger than 6mm
You won't even have to drill it, just tap it. It's that close
Next time use a muffler to frame bracket
This will help secure the muffler and keep the bolts hole's from stripping due to excess vibration and wiggling.
Helicoils are great, If it's absolutely necessary that the same size bolt has to be used.
But were talking about Exhaust bolt holes on a small 2 stroke CG Motorbike engine
You would have to spend $30 for a Helicoil kit and hog out the hole. If the Helicoil ever pulls out. Then your stuck having to buy a 1/4" Helicoil kit
It's not worth it. Just tap the hole to 1/4" the first time and save $$$ time and frustration
With a stripped 6mm bolt holes 1/4" bolts are used It's the closest, cheapest and easiest proper repair.
