Something is off… the clutch arm is way too far off from where it should be.
Look close at the pics in Damien’s thread on clutch adjustment.
The arm should be close to parallel to the edge of the engine case.

Be sure the Buck bar and ball is installed and installed in the correct order. Then follow the instructions to adjust.

Could you possibly pop the clutch side cover off and snap a few pictures?
