OK...Did you notice if there was an O ring inside the carby where it meets up with the intake manifold before you clamped it down in place???

No...Thats probably not good, right?
Not good...lol...First thing to do then before we can go any further is to take the carby off the bike and bring it down to any autoparts store and tell them that you want a "viton" O ring that will fit into that intake hole.
OK...Still take the carby off and put it in...I want you to unscrew that top cap off the carby as well and take the carby completely out because we are also going to look for the needle valve C clip adjustment on that barrel slide while we are in there...lol.
That looks like it might be a good place to leave it then for now until we look at a few other things and then test it out...I know that your at a 410 ft altitude in the Rockville vicinty.

You're doing great man. If it worked perfectly the first time, you wouldn't have learned as much. My mistakes are often my best lessons. ;-)
Ok...You are aware that the barrel slide can only go in one way back into the carby...Right?
