I agree Chinesium. On the other hand the stuff from Taiwan always amazes me. Tempted to make my own out of O2, 1144 or similar... but it would probably break something else 😂 since it would be stronger than the rest.

I know it’s not a COVID model because it’s got the G4 transmission which I prefer.

If it were me I'd change both push rods with new from B-E.com, other parts if needed and that's the best you can do.

I was not Impressed with Taiwan's manufacturing of the New Generation Whizzer.
Problems with cylinder valve seats, cyl boar clearance, uneven cyl deck, and poor cyl aluminum quality. Problems with poor tempered metals of tappets, crank races and clutch shaft sleeve, Poor clearances, bad rear wheel hubs, questionable electrical wiring, miss matched parts from different model bikes, Just all around no quality control of their product. Some was good, some was was bad.
Bikes might have all these problems or only a few
With some American know how with upgraded, modified or good Taiwan and Made in USA parts
The New Gen Whizzer can be made bulletproof and a joy to ride and own.
I have had my 2005 NE-5 Whizzer for 15 years and she now has almost 38,500 miles on her (y)

Taiwan -Specifications- Close Enough is Good Enough

Wow, I guess I’ve been lucky so far, all the Taiwan stuff has been good, like cranks, wheels, tools and even levers and such. How new is this Whizzer? Maybe they’re still working it out,

Lets hope we can make them here in the states again... soon

Whizzers made by the Taiwan Whizzer Co. from 1999 to 2009 for Whizzer USA./ Whizzer USA out of business 2009.
Taiwan in 2014 is making a Clone now called the Cruzzer Motorbike www.whizzercruzzerparts.com

While Tiawan fixed most problems between 2005 and 2009 They just created new problems with some of their solutions to the old problems. Yes, Lets hope Cruzzer works it out.

The good thing was Whizzer had a 1 year parts warranty. Cruzzer also has a 1 year parts warranty

Thought we were talking about a HS 144f 49cc motor here. This about whizzers or 49cc 4 stroke 144f's? Ya'll are confusing me, quit it. Can only think 1 issue at a time.🛠

I’ve got a line on a HS 144f with a G4 transmission that someone unboxed but doesn’t want. I’ll grab It and check the push rods and measure it. I’ll order from bicycle-engines.com if it’s the same. I wish I could replace all worn out parts to Honda.

Kymco is taiwan heard pretty good quality. The kymco spade was a bike I like. Better than the grom in my opinion. 4 valve 150 with a 5 speed.

For the money you can't beat a Kymco for a scooter. I often look at the 150 super 8 to check it out. Lots of good things about a step thru for an older guy plus a huge storage area. I think new about $2500, 2yr warranty. It's carbed though, FI is the way to go in CO.
