I've got these two heads one is from an old motor still two stroke. They measure the same. The only difference I can see is the thickness of the two heads and the thinner head is pushed in the squish gap area. Can I use the thinner head on place of the thicker one and what do you-all think would be the consequence of doing such a thing. Would I get more performance out of the thinner head or would it just over heat. Pics below. Let me know if I can provide a more detailed pic or measurement of that would help.

Did you measure both heads? The 100cc 50mm engines come with similar round heads and the 80cc/47mm engines usually come with the square head.
Center to center on stud holes.... diameter of both chamber areas...ect..

Ok hear are the measurements schematic attached.
Diag bolt center to center= 64mm
Center to center bolt straight= 46mm
That's on both heads
Then od of inner step is 55mm on the round head and 54mm on the square head
Id is 30mm on round sand 38mm on square.
The round is 13mm deep for squish space and square is 14mm deep
The round head spark plug goes straight on down and the square is at a 45 deg angle.

Will the square one work with the difference in those three measurements?

The big round head is a better head. More cooling & better squish= higher compression= More Power. The round head is actually cut for a 47mm cylinder bore/piston crown. To get full potential out of the round head on a 49mm bore/ piston crown it needs to be cut for the 49mm piston.
