Should work fine your stock intake worked right?

Sure did/does! Although I'm using the stock gasket between the cylinder and stock-ish intake, but it won't be possible to open one of those up further to fit the rectangular reed valve, and I certainly CBA buying a sheet of gasket just for this so I'll probably make a twisted Teflon tape gasket like the one I'm using for the head.

I’m going to look into cutting reed petals if there was an interest for them.
