Pfft, 883 has or the ones I know of have 38 hp. My 440 has 43 hp @8500-8700 rpms. I used to race my buddy while he was on his 883. They can take me off the line, but at top end I walk right by like they ain't moving. These old kaws don't mind being pushed past redline a little. They were build like the Japanese built their war stuff, tough, made to last forever in the worst of the worst. 883 may have a bit more torque, but this old Kaw will take 'em at half the displacement. lol
edit: I'm talking old carb ones, not the newer efi, I don't know what those do. Ain't raced one. I know my 440 will take a vrod on a windy road, not on open highway though. lol
