Should we start steering newbies to friction drives?

When those hips stopped working long, long ago, men begin to appreciate the step through.

I built a cargo bike a few years ago with a step through. It had huge baskets on the front and rear, saddle racks, and I put a smaller gear in the front to make it easier to pedal. I had a French horn, melophone, and a trumpet on that bike at 1 point with tons of room left over.

I think the 1 of the best bicycle engine kits for new guys starting out was the GEBE kit. Golden Eagle Bicycle Engines kit. It was a great belt drive setup. To bad they went out of business.

Friction drive heating up the tire wouldn't last me a mile here in the hot, hot, desert climate I'm in...lol.

The older you get, 60's+ the more appealing a step through 150cc+ scooter gets.
