Spark plug thread size

I just found a real problem. The head I got a while back required thread chasing. To make a long story short the threads of the chaser and the threads of the spark plug are not the same. The plug will not screw in to the head. How do I find a plug that will fit and be the right heat range?

Looks like I'm going up to the Napa store to see if they have a plug that fits

Well the guy at napa said it should fit, but it don't fit.

Been sitting here working on it. Screwing the plug in as far as it would go and taking it back out. Then running the chaser through again. Repeated this a few times and I got the plug in all the way. I guess the threads were just a bit rough. Problem solved

What kind of oil should I use?

You only need a little cutting oil when using your chaser, same as the tap.
