I'm currently designing motorcycle/motorized bicycle and I need the ability to change gears, I need to know what's the type or name of the clutch that comes on the 2 strokes engine kits. I need the ability to remove power from the transmission quickly and I don't trust automatic clutches to much (my 4 stroke bike automatic clutch constantly tries to take off on me and sometimes burns up.

Side Question: could you mount said type of clutch on a 4 stroke 50cc engine?

from the factory, 2-strokes come with generic, manual clutches

Your 4-stroke's automatic clutch probably isn't disengaging properly. Use stronger springs or shim the ones you have.

I've had a 4G with a shift kit for nearly 5 years, I'm on my second clutch. The first was a lemon that I replaced after 2K miles, the 2nd has about 7K on it.

Still looks new once it's dusted off.
