the argument is a futile one. why?
because its all up to individual taste.
the builder is limited by certain factors, and as everyone is different, every build is relatively different.
from personal experience...rackmounts are just a quickfix, especially when coupled with friction drive.
you can just as easily mount it up front. you can mount it on the to tube. you can mount it on a trailer...you could even mount it in the wheel if so inclined!
